1. Manuscript Guidelines
The manuscript should be submitted as a Word .docx document with a 12pts Times New Roman font, double spacing,1-inch margins, and line numbers. There is no page maximum but the document should be concise.
Manuscript should have the following sections:
• Title. Titles must fit on two lines in print (75 characters including spaces) and should avoid technical terms, abbreviations and active verbs.
• Abstract. Provide a general introduction to the topic and a brief non-technical summary of your main results and their implications.
• Introduction. Introduce the research topic and provide background information.
• Methods. The Methods section should contain all elements necessary for interpretation and replication of the results. Methods should be written as concisely as possible and typically do not exceed 3,000 words but may be longer if necessary.
• Results and discussion. The results should be presented in a clear and concise way. Your work should be discussed in detail with particular focus on answering previously research questions from the introduction.
• Conclusion. Form conclusions based on your data.
• References. These may only contain citations and should list only one publication with each number. Include the title of the cited article or dataset. Citations style should be in accord with the discipline.
• Acknowledgements (optional). Keep acknowledgements brief and do not include thanks to anonymous referees or editors, or effusive comments. Grant or contribution numbers may be acknowledged.
• Tables and figures. Each table and figure should be accompanied by a short title sentence describing what it shows.
If using a Google Doc, make sure to open as a .docx in Word to reformat and add line numbers before submitting.
